In the afterglow of the 7th International Capital Conference 2016 in Beijing, participating companies from China and the EU can reflect on investment strategy debates and practical business opportunity presentations.
Featuring insights from Long Yongtu, Former Vice Minister of Commerce, China and Former Secretary General for the Boao Forum for Asia; and Senator Jean-Pierre Raffarin, Former Prime Minister of France, alongside a speaker panels full of leading figures from the realm of commerce and politics, this year’s conference successfully united high-level debate with the practical business opportunities that has become so strongly associated with the ICC over the past seven years.
The ICC’s Principal’s Award 2016, which recognises China-EU cross-border investing and China-EU corporate partnerships, went to the Hesteel Group and Duferco International Trading Holdings. It was accepted by Chairman Yu Yong and CEO Matthew de Morgan at awards ceremony at the gala dinner.
More than 200 investment meetings were generated through the “Investment Presentations” agenda slot that allowed businesses to introduce their opportunities to a pre-registered audience. The interest in this feature was extraordinary and looks set to become a regular component of our ICC programme. Take note for 2017!
