Position: Chairman, EDF China

Fabrice FOURCADE is EDF Group Vice-President and has been appointed EDF China Chairman in November 2016.

He started his career in Germany at an artificial intelligence research laboratory. After joining the EDF Group in 1992, he led a research group focusing on economic studies and mathematics applied to electricity system optimization.

Within the Strategy Division, upon French market deregulation, he steered the tariff negotiations with the government and set the electricity pricing strategy for the EDF Group. In 2001, he was responsible for the development of electricity, gas and services offers for key accounts within the Customer branch of EDF, before being appointed Senior Vice President, Key Accounts in 2003.

In 2007 he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Dunkerque LNG, the EDF subsidiary tasked with the building and operating of the Dunkirk LNG terminal, the second largest industrial project in Europe.

Starting from 2010, Fabrice FOURCADE was in charge of EDF commercial activities for the whole Paris region with a turn-over of 5 billion euros.

Appointed Group Vice-President in 2014, he was entrusted by EDF Chairman and CEO Jean-Bernard Lévy with the task to outline and roll-out EDF Group new strategy “CAP 2030”.

He took on the role of EDF China Chairman as of 1st November 2016.

Fabrice FOURCADE, 51 years old, is a former student of the “École Normale Supérieure”, he holds a degree in civil engineering from “Ponts et Chaussées” as well as a MSc in Mathematics.
